2. Functions and tasks:
- Organize research, experiment and analysis of quality indicators of natural resources and environment.
- Organize research, quantitative assessment of natural resources and environment, land, water, air, sediment, etc.
- Develop and develop appropriate analytical procedures for quantitative geographical research of natural resources and environment.
- Research and apply advanced methods, standards and new regulations in analyzing natural resources and environment.
- Carry out regular and periodical monitoring and supervision of the environment and natural resources
- Coordinate and link with the experimental system at the research station. Effectively manage and use the invested analytical machinery and equipment.
- Training human resources in the field of geographical analysis and experiments, quantitative assessment of land and water resources.
- International cooperation in the field of geographical experimental analysis, quantitative assessment of land and water resources.
3. Research capacity and equipment:
The Department has capacity and experience in scientific research and technology deployment in:
- Develop and improve analytical procedures, laboratory operating procedures in the field of analytical chemistry according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
- Conduct periodic and regular monitoring of the quality of the surrounding environment, investment projects, factories, industrial parks and office buildings.
- Consulting on making SEA, EIA reports, environmental protection plans and environmental protection commitments for strategies, master plans and plans; investment projects; factory, factory, etc.
- Investigate, research, and quantitatively assess the status and quality of natural resources and the environment.
Equipment: The Department has been invested with many modern and synchronous analytical equipment to meet the requirements of quantitative analysis of environmental factors and natural resources according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, with 41 recognized norm (VILAS715).
4. Postgraduate training:
Trained 02 PhDs, 09 Masters and many Bachelors at Universities.
5. Achievements:
Since its establishment in 2004, the Department of General Geography Analysis and Experimentation has Led and participated in many national, ministerial, branch and local level projects and many S&T service contracts; published many scientific articles in international and domestic journals, international and domestic conferences; monographs, specifically:
• Led 02 projects and participated in over 15 state-level projects; led 05 ministerial-level projects and 02 provincial-level projects; implemented many S&T service contracts.
• Published more than 50 scientific articles in international and domestic journals, in international and national scientific conferences; published 02 monographs, 01 manual
